Rex Repass is President of Research America Inc. and previously CEO of Repass & Partners in Cincinnati.  In 2016, Research America acquired his firm and Rex was named President of the combined organizations.  Prior to the acquisition, Repass & Partners was selected as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the US by Inc. magazine.

Research America Inc. is a full-service market research and consumer insights firm headquartered in the Philadelphia area.  The company has 14 offices in the US and 300 researchers including the company’s extensive call center staff (200+ call stations), online and telephone survey programmers, project managers, senior level analysts, and an insights/strategy team.  The firm’s clients include Fortune 500 corporations, trade associations, media organizations, and public opinion data collection for public affairs clients.

Rex has been an entrepreneur for most of his career.  In his 20s Rex and Charles Ryan incorporated Ryan-Repass Research, the first market/opinion research firm in West Virginia.  In 1988, he joined MarketVision Research in Cincinnati, where he was a shareholder and Executive VP.  During his years at MarketVision, the company tripled in size and became one of the Top 50 market/opinion research firms in the US.  In 2001, Rex sold his interest in MarketVision and started Repass & Partners.

He has led research engagements for clients throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia for Fortune 500 clients.  Rex has also worked with media clients including news wire services and more than 40 newspapers in the US and Canada; and global advertising and public relations agencies.

Rex also has had extensive political, public affairs, and crisis communications research experience.  He has conducted focus groups and polling for clients in multiple states and globally, and has moderated more than 1,000 focus groups during his career.  In addition, for more than 30 years, Rex has directed The West Virginia Poll® sponsored by the MetroNews radio network.

He received an undergraduate degree in journalism from Marshall University and a Master of Science degree in communications from the University of Tennessee with an emphasis in public opinion and advertising research methods.
